A Two Component, Easily Installed, Corrosion Inhibitive System for Rehabilitation, Repair for New-Construction of Piping, Fittings, Valves, etc. for Service in Corrosive (Especially Offshore) Environments.

The GENWRAP™ - First Generation system was developed with the intent to produce a system which would provide both corrosion barrier and mechanical protection to immersed steel substrates operating in ocean water at temperatures ranging from ambient to 250° F (121°C) such as down-hole product lines and heated lines down-stream of compressor stations.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
GenWrap™ - First Generation is a Two-Component Corrosion inhibitive system composed of:

1. An olefinic corrosion barrier.
2. A moisture-activated polyurethane impregnated fiber-glass outer wrap for mechanical protection.

TYPICAL APPLICATION PROCEDURE
copper pipe repair application - prepare pipe
 1  Prepare Pipe
pipe repair application copper - underwrap
 2  Underwrap
pipe repair application copper - outerwrap
 3  Outerwrap
Surface Preparation
1. Prepare the substrate by abrasive blast cleaning to SSPC SP5 to achieve a uniform 2.5 – 4.0 ml profile.
GENWRAP™ Application
1. Coat the prepared substrate with one layer of the spun olefin. Grip, smooth and tighten with a one inch overlap cigarette wrap or spiral wrap.
2. Top coat spun olefin with the polyurethane impregnated fiberglass outer wrap pulling taught with a 50 % overlap spirally starting at 2 inches beyond the olefin wrap on both sides.
3. Come back with 4 layers, sealing the substrate.
4. Allow to Cure (Approximately 5 to 40 minutes, depending on temperature).
